How long does the hair need to be for waxing?

Ideally 3-4 weeks growth after shaving, waxing or using depilatory creams

Can I wax when pregnant?

Yes of course!

Can I wax when I have my period?

Yes but we recommend using a tampon

Is the wax vegan?

We have a selection of waxes that are suitable for vegans, please mention when booking

Do I need to wear anything special?

Paper underwear is provided for all intimate waxing and we recommend wearing loose clothing after your wax

What wax do you use?

For intimate waxing Outback organics hot wax is used and for other areas Outback organics true blue strip wax is used

Is it painful?

Outback organics wax is the most gentle wax on the market, a couple of paracetamol beforehand can help to reduce any sensation

Should I trim beforehand?

No we prefer to trim ourselves if it is needed

How do I remove my nail enhancements, gel polish, gel overlays or nail extensions at home?

We would prefer for you to remove them in salon, however if needed follow theses steps:

• Buff over whole surface with a medium rough file
• Apply acetone to some cotton wool and place on the nail
• Wrap in tinfoil and leave for at least 20mins
• Gently remove and left on the nail plate with an orange wood stick and lightly file nail surface with a very fine file
• Apply oil to the nails

Will you remove another salons nails?

No, unfortunately we will not remove anyone else's work. Please ensure that your nails are free of any product before your appointment.

What is the difference between Gel polish and Gel overlays?

Gel polish lasts up to 2 weeks and needs to be removed each time, this does not support or strengthen the nails in any way.

Gel overlays are ideally maintained (infilled) after 2 weeks and provide support for the natural nails enabling you to achieve long strong natural nails

Are the products cruelty free and vegan?

Yes

Do any of the products damage natural nails?

No, we only use products that are kind to the natural nail and will not cause any damage if cared for correctly

I am having an operation/xray do I need to remove my nails?

Biosculpture is fully gas permeable so oxygen monitors can read through the gel so there is no need to remove them and they will not affect an xray in any way

I have had tinting done at other salons why do I need a patch test?

All salons use different products and each product requires a patch test, also it is a requirement of insurance for your protection and safety

Why should I remove make up prior to any lash treatment?

All of the treatments work best when your lashes are clean and thoroughly dry

How long do the red carpet brows last for?

Up to 6 weeks. The skin stays tinted for 2-4 weeks and the hairs up to 6

How long do the fake fur brows / eyebrow extensions last for?

The hair to hair glue lasts for up to 4 weeks and the skin to hair glue for up to 2weeks. Maintenance is recommended every 2-3 weeks

Do I need to bring anything for my spray tan?

Paper underwear is provided but we recommend wearing loose clothing after your spray tan

How do I prepare my skin before a spray tan?

We recommend exfoliating thoroughly for a couple of days  before your treatment and on the day please avoid perfume, deodorant, moisturiser and make up

Do I need to wear anything special for a massage?

No

Can I have massage when im pregnant?

Yes, but not in the first 12 weeks. If you are unsure if you are pregnant or not we advise not having massage until you are sure. we can tailor your massage treatment to accommodate baby bumps. Please inform reception when booking

Can I have massage when I am having cancer treatment?

It is not recommended to have any treatment involving lymphatic drainage until you have had the all clear

What are ear candles used for?

Ear candles can be used to treat a wide range of complaints concerning the head, ears, nose , throat and chest. Vertigo, meniers disease, labarynthitis, snoring, migraines, tension headaches, tonsilitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, rhinitis, hay fever and general congestion

Doear candles hurt?

No it is a very relaxing and pleasant treatment to have done

Why do I need to fill in a disclaimer?

This is to ensure your safety and the efficacy of any treatment.
Many treatments are unsuitable if you have certain medical conditions or are taking medication. Our insurance also stipulates that these must be completed before any treatment. Please inform reception of any changes

I am running late, can you still take me?

Please give us as much notice as possible if you are going to be late and we will do everything we can to fit you in, however we cannot make other clients wait

Will I receive a reminder?

Yes a text message will be sent 6 hours prior to your appointment and an email reminder will also be sent.

Why can’t I reply to the text message reminder?

This is an automated reminder service and we do not receive any replies to that number

When is the latest I can cancel/change my appointment?

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice of change or cancellation. Please note the latest a change or cancellation can be made to a Monday appointment is 4.30pm on Saturday

Why do I need to pay a deposit/ give 24 hours notice of cancellation?

 This is to ensure everybody arrives for their appointment and avoids other clients missing out on an appointment

Can I bring my children?

Unfortunately we are not insured for anyone under 16 to be in the salon

Why cant I book via email?

We can't accept bookings by email, only over the phone or through the facebook page or website

I have called but only got the answering machine.
